A New Chapter Begins.

Updated: Dec 30, 2022

When I started my yoga practice 11 years ago, I couldn't imagine how it would impact my life. Initially, I thought it was just another "fitness" exercise and that yogis were generally weird. Lol.

This was the first thing that #yoga taught me. To be open about other perspectives and embrace the #diversity of us all.

Throughout the years, I kept practicing because I couldn't turn back when I first surrendered in Child's pose. It was the first time in years that I could finally hear my thoughts again. Not the opinion of someone else, their words, or their tone. I could finally listen to ME again. And my voice was loud, mad, anxious, crying for help because I had forgotten her.

This was the second thing that yoga taught me. To take time for myself and listen more to my voice.

By doing this, I discovered the root causes of my insomnia, anxiety, and low emotions, and I was finally able to act upon them. I worked through every area and made radical changes in my life. Starting with relationships, work, food choices, and how I treated myself.

Self-love was the third thing I learned from yoga.

I discovered that unconditional love comes from within. Accepting myself exactly the way I am right now is taking away the weight of perfectionism, and it allows me to BE. To become. To transform. To evolve. To love.

During our practice, we discover together a world of possibilities.

The mediation & breathing techniques calm our minds and strengthen our bodies. While the movement through asanas enables our energy to flow, helps us increase mobility and flexibility, and build strength and stamina. The stillness of the poses has a grounding effect and allows us to heal.

It is easier to achieve our dreams when we have the right tools. But, sometimes, it is enough to just have a moment of silence to see our true selves and embrace that version. Because when we practice yoga, we allow ourselves to explore and create an endless space of possibilities. The best part of this is that we have everything we need within us. It just awaits to be free.

See you in class starting on January 3, 2023.

Have a blessed, Happy New Year!
