Gratitude

As a child, I was taught that we would only get rewarded if we worked hard. Those with money are evil, and we must be grateful for what we have. I repeated this narrative for three decades to realize this was BS and I was accepting someone else's story.

We make ourselves smaller than we are and give up as soon as someone questions our choice. Why is that so? Why do we accept to go the same path others did? Why do we repeat the same patterns as there would be no other options? For me, it was fear. I was afraid of failure, of what others would say, how they would react to what I was doing, and how I wanted to live.

Today, I realize that by doing that, I was afraid to live and was putting myself into misery.

Meditation helped me sort out my thoughts, regain clarity and understand who I was. It helped me realize what I truly valued and make the difference between my beliefs and those of others. I understood that the teachings I received as a child were not valid. That I didn't have to feel miserable to be a good person and that I had a choice.

That is why I choose to be grateful. Grateful for everything that surrounds me. Because the more gratitude I feel, the more I say Thank You & I love You, the more I attract to it. The more I choose to be happy, the more I align with the Source, God, and pure energy that surrounds us all.

The Universe wants us to succeed, but to do that; we must accept who we are, accept our divine vibration, embrace our passions, and follow our dreams. Grateful.
